Slave Lake Motocross Association was formed in 2021 by a group of volunteers and Motocross enthusiasts from the Slave Lake area who wanted to see the old Flat Top motocross track cleaned up and reopened. The Flat Top track was around for many years since the mid eighties possibly. It was a very active track and a favorite of Moto crossers from all over Alberta. The track was abandoned in 2012 and grew over.

 

Our group from SLMX got a new lease on the land and with help from local businesses we began cleanup on the site and rebuilt the track, this process took us a year and, in the spring of 2022 we opened. We have been upgrading the track since as well as we have modified some of the jumps and changed up the track layout a bit.  We have also added a 50cc beginners’ section for our future racers to learn on! We have hosted past races with the PMA as well as AVMX and will host AVMX again this August. We also host a riding school for all levels of rider yearly.  We are very proud of our facility and welcome new members and day users to out track!
