Rules and Regulations

  • All members are required to sign a registration form before membership is purchased- if less than 18 years of age this form must be signed by a parent or guardian on both sides.

  • Any serious incidents must be reported to a board member of the slma immediately.

  • Club members are responsible for their guests fees and behaviour and ensuring waivers are signed.

  • Campfires are permitted in raised pits in designated areas. this is subject to local fire regulations. keep fires small and extinguish when unattended

  • No fireworks are allowed on this site.

  • Pets must be on a leash supervised and under control at all times. please clean up after them.

  • You must wear a minimum d.o.t. certified motocross style riding helmet, proper riding boots with ankle support and other appropriate riding gear / protective clothing while riding in the park.

  • Please ensure that your bike is in proper running order at all times, mechanical issues can lead to serious injury or death.

  • It is highly recommended to walk and ride a slow lap to identify any unexpected hazards on the track before pushing the limits of a full practice pace.

  • Make sure there is no maintenance equipment on the track while you are riding. riding is not permitted on the track at any time while maintenece equipment is working on the track.

  • Please be advised that the slave lake motocross association and /or executive(s) are not responsible for any injury(s) or death that may occur on or off property.

  • You must be a regestered member of the slave lake motocross association or purchase a day pass to ride on the property.

  • The locking of the gate is the responsibility of the last member to leave the facility.

  • As members arrive throughout the day, the gate must be closed (not locked) behind them.

  • Members are encouraged to attend club night.

  • Unless due to excusable circumstances all members are expected to assist in hosting our race(s).

  • It is the responsibility of all members(s) to inform non-member(s) to purchase a membership/day pass or ask politely for that person(s) to exit the riding area.

  • Any non-members that do not operate with in club rules will be dealt with in a professional manner and reported to the proper authority, rcmp may be involved if necessary.

  • Ignorance, violence or abusive behavior will not be tolerated by any person(s).

  • No alcohol or drugs allowed on the property. no riding while impaired.

  • Never ride alone. bring someone to supervise or bring a friend to ride with, use the buddy system.

  • All minors must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times, minors are those under 18 years of age.

  • Please put garbage in garbage cans or take it out when you leave.

  • No quads are allowed to practice on the track due to insurance reguatons at this time.

  • Find out which direction the track goes before entering the riding area. (counter clockwise)

  • If you have to stop in the riding area, make sure you pull off the track and never stop between a jump and the landing or directly on a landing. stay out of the way and be visible. enter track at the designated entrance only

  • Only authorized personel, regestered members and regestered day pass users are allowed in the riding areas.

  • All spectators must be a minimum 30 feet from the track. obey signage. walkway to center viewing area is not a spectator area. you must proceed directly to the center veiwing area or back out without stopping.

  • Riding times are from sun rise or 8:00am which ever is later to sun set 7 days a week unless the facility is closed for maintanence, the conclusion of the season or during preperation for or during a race event. the track may also be closed due to weather or extremely muddy riding conditions, use your descretion.

  • 4x4 quads or sxs are not permitted on the track at any time unless used by authorised personel and should not be riden on the track surface itself. if you have to, cross the track square and not on an angle.

  • Speed waivers must be must be filled out correctly and pictures of face must be taken.Waivers for minors must be filled out by both parents of guardians as well as the minor. Please follow directions carefully. This has to be done yearly.

  • Anyone going onto the track area (outside public viewing areas) , volunteers, parents etc must also do a speedwaiver.

  • The tower is off limits to general public and is for race officials only.

  • Riding in the parking area or on the Derby / Event area is not permitted at any time.

  • 50CC Beginner track is only for use beginners on 50cc bikes, Stacyc bikes or equivalent. Give the little ones a safe place to learn, they are our future!

  • All proper riding gear must be worn at all times while riding on the property. Helmets, goggles, riding boots and gloves as a minimum.

  • Campers must not release any black or grey water on site. Dump stations are available at Canadian Tire and Big Fish bay.

  • It is not safe to have 50cc or small childern practicing at the same time as big bikes, take turns.
